This is so strange...I guess I placed two orders for one set. whoops. my 38326# says it is suspended, my 38334# says its on hold... how could that be? anyone have a guess? I read on another forum that the order#'s from the web do not take into account phone orders so who knows when this sold out but its definitely sold out within the last hour...
welp, mine looks like it's about somewhere in the 34000 order range. I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling about my chances. That's abot a 3 per order average
All right, so you're presuming that everyone ordered at least 3.3 sets. On what do you base that assumption?
But that two week window is going to be huge for the true collectors that want one of these sets. Its probably within that two week window when prices on secondary markets will skyrocket. You can still buy them now for not such a huge mark up on other auction sites, but when word starts getting out in a week or two that people didn't get what they thought they were.... they will have to go through those auction sites and then the prices for these things are going to go crazy big. I understand people love making money but its really sad most are just going to gobble these up to make money and leave the true collectors in the dust. The Mint should be ashamed of themselves too, allowing a 5 per household limit was a poor decision and drives the flipping.
I see your order # is up to a 6. Mine was a 38345...at 1:05 pm. Man i wonder how many are left? If any?
I'm just curious who's buying these in groups of 5 from ebay for $2200 now. I'm guessing typical collector isn't buying 5 like that. Dealers maybe? http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?rt=nc&LH_Complete=1&_nkw=2011%20silver%20eagle%2025th&_fln=1&_sc=1&_sop=1&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m283
I wonder about that 800 number set up. I asked earlier if anyone has even been able to make a purchase on it. No one has said they have even bought one coin through it. Do they just lock it up on hold so they don't have to deal with it?
