It is selling on ebay for $789.99 with free shipping! I'm glad that I got 5 for $299.99. I'm guessing that they've sold 40,000 in the first hour. I'm thinking that they'll be sold out by 6:00 PM. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_kw=25th&_kw=set&_kw=ase
This is why they should allow pre-ordering through the subscription program. If more than 100k are pre-ordered, then those first 100k are each garaunteed one. Less than 100k, then distribute them fairly up to 5 till their all gone. Leftovers, sell in standard fashion.
Page doesn't even begin to load.. continued time outs... I don't have time to play the reload game for hrs. I will just buy the pieces that matter later...
I wonder where I stand with order#: 38329XXX? From experience with trying to order the Lincoln Chronicles set, I know the vendor/contractor is 'stupid' and keeps taking many more orders than the mintage limit, and then cancels them in the following few days. I believe the words of an earlier poster on this thread to be very true: nothing is guaranteed until you receive them in hand[h=1][/h]
Thats funny on the 22nd someone bought one from the same ebay auction for 540. now today it is 790. What a rip off...
That's a BIN, but still crazy (if the bids are real) are the almost closed auctions, this one showing a bid for $2099 for five sets: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-2011-Amer...r-Coin-Set-A25-five-sets-sealed-/160672254925 At least that's better than $60 premium per set that dealers are buying them at.
How do you figure that? 383 was the prefix to an order I made last week, so you are making that call from just 29xxx.
Ebay is sometimes just too ridiculous. All these people pre-selling the sets for outrageous amounts before the market can even set a price, and then there's this joker who lists a set as all "PF70/MS70" graded by NGC http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Silver-Ea...624?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43aa6eead0 Impossible! They're not even going to start delivery for two weeks! I hope he ends up with all MS/PF69s...
funny thing on the phone, i keep getting a message to stay on the line because I've been delected for a brief survey and then i get the busy signal
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-AMERICAN-EAGLE-25TH-ANNIVERSARY-SILVER-COIN-SET-A25-/120797478337?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c20173dc1 Is this legit? For 1 set? $1625 OOPS MY MOLE-Stake thats for 5 sets of 5 coins...
Will the mint change a shipping address if it is stored in your online profile? Was surprised I got thru so did the quick checkout without changing my home address to my normal office address for shipping purposes
If you're in the first 20k (100k/5) AND your credit card clears, you're good to go. I wonder how many eBay-er's that have posted them will not get their orders in?
Description: " THIS IS A PRESALE FOR 1 SEALED BOX OF 5 2011 AMERICAN EAGLE 25TH ANNIVERSARY SILVER COIN SETS. 5 SETS TIMES 5 COINS EACH EQUALS 25 COINS TOTAL PER BOX." 5 sets
I see 15 different EBay listings that are selling the 25th Anniversary Sets for less than $500 Buy It Now. Some listings have multiple quantities. I was hoping these would be worth more than $500. I have been watching auctions lately and they have been going in the low $400's. But that should all change once there is a sell out. As of right now, the lowest Buy It Now is $425.
I could be wrong but I was assuming that it started at 24000 and is now 29000, which is 5000. Even if everyone bought 5 in that group, it would only be 25,000 to 29000.
