Saw an add in a magazine for a merc dime in a collectable card for 1.99. Then I noticed they have a website and I found that they also have a Franklin half for 4.99 (first coin only) plus 1.99 shipping. The website combined the shipping. I ordered both, and will let you know how it goes. It seems to be a small company. Not sure what condition the coins will be in. But i'll take it. You can order online at these links below or call them 1-866-465-3455. 'Willabee & Ward". Code on top right is 2663-NA02 but I didn't need to use that online. I also have the option to mail in a check with the add :smile Company - http://www.willabeeandwardproducts.com/collectibles/ Heres the coins - http://www.willabeeandwardproducts.com/collectibles/category.asp?id=381 A Mercury Dime, and a Franklin Half, both in a collectable card. $17 worth of silver for $6.99. Not as good of a score as all those ASE's for $33 and Grizzly/timberwolf offer a while back. But its something I think both the bullion crowd and the numismatic crowd will both enjoy.
If you wanna make sure they can't keep charging you in the future, as these are subscriptions, go get a new debit card this week after using it here. Jokes on them when they think they're getting you on the hook for a few hundred bucks worth of coins and all of a sudden, it won't go through.
This is definitely a subscription type sales pitch. I'm betting subsequent coins will be low grade over priced coins. Their webpage for the Franklin you bought says " no circulating silver coins have been minted by the U.S. government since 1964." Guess no one in the company realizes that Kennedy Half Dollars which were minted for circulation from 1965-1969 (1970 in mint & proof sets only) were 40% silver. I would be very careful. It is this type of sales hook that winds up costing you money.
Thanks for the warning, the site does seem sketchy. I am on hold waiting to talk with an operator right now. Also used a credit card with very low limit that will allow me to dispute any problems.
As others have said, this looks like a sales pitch to get you locked into a subscription program. I would walk away. TC
Well the thing is, I ordered online, and there was no pitch or any fine print of any subscription. Also, One can order via sending a check for $1.99. I'll let you know how it goes.
The company is accredited by the BBB. I spoke with them on the phone and he assured me that there will be no reoccurring charges. If there is any problems with my credit card, I will simply dispute the charges... So there is no risk on my part, besides a little of my time. Also thought I would mention the business has been open since 1969 and registered with the BBB since 1982
Don't believe everything these types tell you. And just because a business is registered with the BBB, doesn't mean a whole lot.
