I just checked a few minutes ago via the mint’s website, and it stated that my order has already been shipped early today. So it appears that the mint is getting faster when it comes to shipping these things…
Seems like Yosemite is moving a little slower than the other two. Here's a quote from CoinUpdate: "Through the reporting date of June 12, 2011, the United States Mint recorded sales of 20,511 units for the 2010-P Yosemite National Park Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin. The product initially went on sale on June 9, meaning that after only a few days 76% of the maximum authorized mintage has been sold. While this is an impressive start, it is below the initial sales levels of the previous two releases. After a comparable sales period, the Hot Spring National Park issue had sold approximately 25,000 units and the Yellowstone National Park issue had sold 24,626 units. These two releases both eventually reached a sell out after roughly 15 days of sales. It seems likely that the Yosemite release will also reach a sell out, but perhaps after a longer period of availability." I'm thinking it's due to the back to back to back release dates. It's tough spending $300 with the Mint every 3 weeks.
I'm thinking the flippers are running away from the P pucks because the profit after ebay is maybe $20. Vis a vis buillon 5 piece set profits of $300 after paying ebay. I think the sell out time will increase greatly after Grand Canyon.
I think you are both hitting on it - I for one am trying to put together 3 sets so I'm having to drop $900 every 3 weeks which is a PITA and getting expensive. Of course with silver down i don't wanna get rid of what I have just to complete the set... thanksfully there are only 2 more 2010's left... No way I can continue with the 2011's at this point.
I've got the first 2 so I ordered the Yosemite a bit late, #37627xxx, back ordered until 6/17. We'll see. I'm confident it'll show up here soon enough.-
Got mine today, best quality as of now! My GF's look pretty good except for some tiny pin hole like marks on the front and rear buy besides that, they are getting better. The one I got could be a MS70
How to tell if one is 69 or 70 not sure. I have 4 now of P mint. I found a blemish I guess I would call it on one. It is a small change in color under direct light. No scratch or any other problems. Around the rim their are some imperfections. I looked at the MS70 Picture posted on PCGS. Thier picture is also showing imperfections around the out side rim.
