Just got mine this morning. The majority of the rim on both the obverse and reverse have a terrible 'chewed up' appearance. The rest of the coin appears fine on both sides. I think I'll call and see if it can be exchanged...even though odds are I'd get another's return.

    Any opinions on a return/exchange?

The Hot Springs ATB Unc. that I received looked the same way. The plastic holder allows the coins to slide inside of the holder and the soft silver edges become damaged.

I returned my Hot Springs for a full refund. The Mintage on these coins is too low for the Mint to have any coins available for replacement.

It is too bad you got a damaged coin. In my opinion the Yellowstone ATB is a very attractive coin, with a low mintage, that will still be valuable even with the slight damage.

Just called and they said I can go ahead and mail it back but she can't guarantee there will be another to send out. In this case, she said, they would refund my account and I wouldn't have a coin at all.

My Hot Springs also had some minor specks on the rims of the obverse and reverse....but not nearly this severe.

Same thing happened to me with the hot springs, just kept it and hoped the ripples in the Hot Springs would be a variety...

    My Yellowsone looks perfect

I'm doing a set of type coins with all "Buffalo" coins minted by the US Mint.

Had to get this... It is flawless with the exception of 1 small rim imperfection seen only at suoer high magnification.

HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THE FAINT LINES/CRIMPS AROUND THE EDGE?
EVENLY SPACED AT APPX 1/4 INCH.
    IS THIS A SEMI-LAZY REEDED EDGE? :)

The fractional gold was a pleasant surprise once I pre-ordered.

Anyhow, gonna see how long I can stay on the 5oz. ATB train till my budget kicks me off

Less than 2,000 Jellystones left.......I got mine today and its going to PCGS tomorrow. Looks like a 70 to me....even the rims.

I think these will sell out next week.

I called about the household limit being removed and she said not yet. I was gonna order 5 more.....I'm not much of a modern collector but these look realy nice.

The Yellowstone coin I received was of a little better quality than the Hot Springs, but it did have a few tiny nicks around the rim. I really like the next-day UPS shipping for the price of regular shipping also.

First coin was great, second one was ok. Much better then the Hot Springs but like others have said, small nicks along the brim.

Yippie! They are already selling for over $325 on ebay. They may go higher; not that I'd sell mine but it is nice to know that you got a keeper.

I've been waiting for it to sell out. Now on to the next...

Been a while since anyone has said anything about ATBs. It's getting quiet...

I have very small noticeable changes along the rim. Is their a better alternative in cases for these coins. What is the best way to package to NGC or PCGS. I also notice PCGS seems to be selling for a little more. I also have doubling. I really like these coins. I looked up the image for a SP 70 on PCGS site and the RIM is all Jacked up. I'm going to try to get all 27,000 of the Yosemite. 2010 P 5 oz yellowstone PLUR 1.jpg [IMG]
