They may be priced at extremely high premiums, but they are still pretty. And no matter how much it's worth in copper, 6 dollars is not a lot of money.
Why would someone pay that much for a small hunk of copper when you can get a genuine gold plated silver bar from one of the home shopping channels with a royal wedding theme? The gold plating alone must be worth 10 or 15 cents and something like that is bound to be treasured by generations to come. I even think it is a limited edition. That is, they will only make as many as they can sell before the hoopla dies down.
