By "open to the public", do you mean, open to only those that were selected for their "lottery"?

I did it. I had tried several times over the last couple days and failed every time with the same message others got. I signed in, searched "atb" and ordered.

 

Well when I try to order, it keeps asking for "Validate Your Promo Code". Can't get past that screen.

So I guess you had to be on the alert list or the lottery list.

 

I thought I was on a list for them but even after people said the deal was open to those who didn't get selected I was unable to order.

During the day today I tried several times and got that same message about my customer number not being selected. But I gave it another shot and it worked. Then I immediately posted, figuring it would work for everyone now. Apparently it does not. Sorry.

 

It's so frustrating. Some get a dozen sets, others get none.

I'm sure that's what the mint intended.

 

I sure thought we would have to wait until midnight Eastern or beyond for the lottery list to get modified. My best guess right now is that it is 'open' to those that set an alert on the original item listing. Maybe it's even being staged within that group...so hope may remain for those that still can't seem to order, if the 'game' is still afoot. Fingers crossed that you guys get in before the inventory hits -0-!

Try it again, mine just went through also. I did set an alert a while back, but didn't receive any. Maybe their lottery system isn't giving them the sales they were expecting. They must sell them before any new orders are accepted by the mint.

 

The Apmex sets are nice because they already slabbed. But the Prudential deal is good. Probably $940 shipped. The hoops (W9, account application) are a hassle but they don't require much effort. And look at the Fidelitrade deal. That stayed open a long time. The likely reason was the SSN requirement. With silver trading over $43 and sets offered at $38.40 you gotta give it a shot, imho.

 

I've tried a hundred times. I even type "prettyplease" and "iloveyou" in the promo box, but it just tells me I'm not good enough, go away, don't bother us, we hate you (I might be exaggerating a little on that last part). Major sour grapes.

 

On my screen I never entered anything in the "promo code" box. I click on "proceed to step 2 of 4" below that. Are you logged in ok?
