I would possibly like to purchase a box of the 2011 Canadian Grizzly Silver 1oz'ers, when are they going to be available? Thanks -mach330
Picked up a trio of Grizzlies at the 62nd annual PNNA convention today for $47 a pop. These and the Timberwolves are easily my favs. I can't wait to collect the whole series!
I agree with you, Inflexion. They are both great, but I think I prefer the look of the Wolf coin overall. It is a redo of the 1/2 ounce 2006 Wolf coin, which is a great-looking coin also, but pretty pricey, as there were only about 100,000 minted as compared to 1 million for each of the 2011 Wolf and 2011 Grizzly.
Great series! Got the wolf and the grizz is on the way! Wish the US mint would do more like canada. I guess the ATB's are a good start, but these are going to be out of most people's price range if silver keeps going up.......
Silverceder, let us know what you think of the Grizzly compared to the Wolf. I can't wait to see what is next in the series.
They're both nice looking coins. I do like the wolf coin more. Maybe it's because the animals are the same size on the coin, so you see more detail on the wolf. I also like the full moon in the background. You can almost hear him howling.
Will do. I haven't heard whats next, but I can tell you what I'd like to see!.....LOL. Snowy Owl perhaps, Polar bear...... no matter what they do, I will get all six!
My dad got me a wolf and a grizzly from one of those magazine deals, they look so great, and the prices on those deals are unbeatable
Pick up an American Hunter magazine, I think they usually have something in each issue. I'm not sure if the deals are still valid, he did it all on his own this time, good job Dad...
I'd be happy with any of those. The Royal Mint could make them all look great on a coin that size. Now, if we could just get the U. S. Mint to stop being obsessed with dead politicians, their spouses and war-related subjects, they might someday produce an interesting coin also.
