Riddle Me This - 1855 Large Cent

I am not a large cent guy but my grandson picked this piece up today and sent me a photo of it. I am wondering about the second “5” in the date being placed lower than the other digits in the date. I consulted my Redbook and I see slanted 5’s and upright 5’s…. I don’t see anything about one high and one low 5. Is this characteristic for an 1855 large cent?

Looks like it could be N-1 variety. R-3

That's what I tentatively came up with.
But I need sharper images to confirm that.

 

Yeah, my apologies on that. I had to manipulate the boys photos to make them reasonably usable. I’ll work with him on his coin photo skills.
