    claygump;
    The collector coins are not being produced with a Proof Finish, it is too costly. They may not even have the detail of the original bullion coins since the blasting removes part of the surface.

    are the 2011 coins the same dimensions as the 2010? i thought i read somewhere that they would be smaller in diameter.

    bigjohn56;
    When you have time, take a look at the reflective surface of the Washington Bust. I see fine hairlines when you tilt the coins back and forth. (A loupe and a good light source also helps) That means someone may have cleaned fingerprints or handling smudges from them. I think MTB may have cherry picked their coins and sent the best of the lot in for grading. They inspected each coin and made up their own sets for submission. There are way to many MS68 and MS69 complete sets out in the market without someone combining pieces.

    I ordered mine from CNT last Saturday when they were accepting orders. Mailed the check out yesterday so I am looking forward to getting them in in a few weeks. They said it would be 3 or 4. Have any of you guys ordered any from them and if so, what was the time frame you got them after they recieved your check.

    When I ordered from them last Saturday the guy told me that the check had to be postmarked by 4/7. I mailed my check on Saturday and it cleared Wednesday so they are processing them fast. Don't know how fast they ship.

    i just got mine a few minutes ago. they were from jack hunt. i have to say i am quite disappointed. they seem to have hairline scratches everywhere. look like they have been wiped. a few even have a sheen of some sort of cleaner. these bad boys are going up for sale as soon as silver hits $50 no doubt. with silver hitting $40 today i am up about 50 bucks. so i guess all isnt bad.

    From FideliTrade today:

    2010 America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins
    Processing Overview
    The purpose of this document is to communicate the general process we are employing for the ATB program. We are using our best efforts to comply with the spirit of the US Mint’s wishes to distribute widely to the American public on a consistent and fair manner. Additionally, we will comply with federal law that requires financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information to reasonably identify each person who opens an account.
    Order Acceptance:
     FideliTrade will process orders in batches as they arrive during regular business hours.
    o As various carriers deliver orders, those orders will be batched and subsequently processed in the order each batch is received.
     The individual orders within each batch will be simply processed as they are received (i.e., the top order is processed first, then the second, and so on).
     Orders will be checked for duplicate names, addresses, and other information that may suggest an attempt to circumvent the Mint’s objective of one set per household. Orders will be checked further for accuracy, completeness, and USA PATRIOT Act compliance. Orders not meeting compliance or other tests will be rejected.
     Payment may only be made by check or money order only; if a check is returned by the bank of any reason, the order will be cancelled.
     FideliTrade will attempt to communicate with customers throughout this process. The following notices will be sent by email as soon as practicable:
    o Acknowledgment when a request has been received (i.e., the documents arrived at our door);
    o Confirmation when an order has been accepted (i.e., the order will be fulfilled subject to check clearing), or
    o confirmation when an order is rejected due to over subscription,
     Orders rejected due to non-compliance or duplication will not be notified.
    o Confirmation of shipment and tracking number.
    (Due to the large number of orders expected, we expect minor delays in reporting the status to customers)
     If order is not accepted, customer checks will be voided and returned to the address on the order form.
    Packaging:
     US Mint
    o Coins are of a bullion variety (i.e., the US Mint handles them in the same manner that it handles silver Eagle bullion coins)
    o ATB coins were shipped by the US Mint in plastic boxes containing 10 plastic tubes. Each tube contains 10 coins
     FideliTrade
    o Coins will be unpackaged (from Mint tubes) with care.
     On a soft, non-abrasive surface
     Packing staff will wear gloves when handling the coins
    o Coins will be packaged as follows:
     Each of the 5 coins will be placed in small (4” x 4”) bubble envelopes;
     the 5 small bubble envelopes will be sealed in a sturdy fiber envelope;
     the fiber envelope will be placed in a FedEx Bubble Pak for shipment.
    Shipping:
     Packages will be shipped via FedEx Express Saver Service
    o Physical US addresses only; no P.O. Boxes are allowed
    o Direct Signature Required
     Customers should allow 4 weeks for delivery from the date of order acceptance

    I emailed the form and wired the funds to Dillon Gage. Even if the coins turn out to be not of the best quality you are still buying them at a discount to melt and they are pure.

    Bummer, but I guess now you can handle them and really set them out as coasters. Well, don't do that! They are 1/33000th (0.0030303%) of the set. Collect 'em all! :D
    The disturbing thing is that they may be showing signs of cherry picking. I'm hoping that's not so and this is just a worst case luck of the draw outcome.

    To those that recently received their MTB's. Are these from 2 wks ago or last Friday? Also, how is the quality, low, high, mixed bag?

    I asked because I ordered last Friday and haven't heard a word. Maybe they have a few more days of cherry picking left.
