Gov't overreach is nothing compared to fear and extrapolating beyond the actual events.

Y'all can run scared if you want. As for me, I only ask you to gimmee a shout-out when these negative predictions - gov't suppression of coupons and personal checks - actually happens.

If it doesn't happen after a reasonable time, please give a retraction, then sound "all clear" and turn off the alarm sirens.

I might be missing something, but where on the 2006 $20 LD round does it say that it's not legal tender?

Also, the receipts state that they are monetary units by having BvNH scribble his signature above "Monetary Architect" on the back.

Ahh my memory was a bit rusty. It's the omission of the words 'legal tender' which some argue should have kept the LD free and clear, but others didn't see it that way. In any case, this should not impact our current ability to barter as we please with items that aren't Liberty Dollars.

I design and print script for the store I own. We do a lot of buying from walk-in customers, and sometimes they prefer X store credit rather than X-Y cash. I also sell the script as gift certificates.

My script reads "X dollars in trade" in denominations of $1 to $100. I don't think this breaks any law.

Talk about using a long form! I'll give you 2 sheep, one mule and a foot massage for 3 gallons of water, 1 necktie and 25 gallons of unledded gas...

Actually NorthKorea both parties profit from the transaction and both are taxed accordingly. One person profitted the value of haircuts for performing the service of housesitting - the other profitted the value of housesitting for performing the service of haircuts.

So, if we both have kids and I need you to watch my child on Tuesdays and you need me to watch yours on Thursdays, is this barter or a favor?

Lets do away with all but two taxes. The existence tax on all living and non-living things just for being here, and followed by the one time 100% death tax, for trying to leave this mess behind for others.

Makes me wonder if the government isn't in violation of it's own laws when they themselves trade tax credits for services. Thats bartering in the simplest and oldest form. I wonder if the IRS monitors the trillions in such transactions?

I believe the government and Fed is in violaton of numerous laws. They just have ways to hide it well and no one to audit them.

Thats the spirit Sam. The only tax that should ever be levied is a 5000% tax on all that Chinese Communist crap they are selling here in the USA. People should know that those items are made with slave/prison labor. One should not support such sordid criminals.

    Howdy North,

As I recall, when asked about the transaction, she denied it and the hammered her for insider trading. Note that she had been a wall street broker and knew the rules. And, I've always said that if she'd just admitted it, said she f*cked up and was sorry, they would have slapped her wrist and let her go. She was arrogant and thought she was above the man.

I agree. The government is run by a bunch of lawyers who legalize the right to break their own laws.. while constantly making new laws against the American people.

I don't remember voting someone into office just so they can make new laws against me and my fellow citizens... yet most sheople think that's all the government is there for! Even the media calls them "Lawmakers" WTF???
