I have no hard evidence but believe I rear somewhere that PCGS is giving all of the bullion coins FS status, which in reality makes no difference at all if they all qualify. Also thought I read a number of $50 per coin, but again, have no supporting evidence. Post the info if you find it as I believe my next submissions will be with them.

The only info that I can find suggests the regular $30 grading fee (some guy who had submitted 6 sets = 30 coins and mentioned $900 in grading fees). I don't see how they could charge the extra $18 for FS designation if they're automatically giving it, it usually has to be requested IIRC.

I'll call them tomorrow and update the thread.

The PCGS site says $50 per coin and if you want the FS label, it is another $18 per coin. Otherwise you will just get their standard label. Don't forget to add shipping plus insurance. Minimum on insurance would be $24.95 for a set valued at $1000. You would need to join as a member (add membership fee) in order to submit or go through a dealer who would probably charge you a service fee. It won't be cheap to do an entire set.

I called PCGS today and they said $30 per coin. If you want the First Strike designation then that adds $18 per coin.

At Jack Hunt it appears the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

I received an email from them stating that even though they sent out shipment notifications it does not mean that your order actually shipped. Apparently some did and some didn't. The tracking numbers are correct. Therefore I would imagine if you use the tracking number and it tells you the order is moving then you are all set. Otherwise you just wait till it shows up on the tracking site.

I got the same e-mail from Jack Hunt......lol. Oh my. How is that even possible? My tracking number says it is in transit..... I have no idea if that means it actually is or not. It has made it to Syracuse....... or so it says......

It is hard to say how the Jack Hunt tracking number fiasco originated. The following represents just one possible explanation for this phenomena:

First, it was probably a mistake to put Larry in charge of the job. He is a good guy but the task was overwhelming for him. So he sought guidance from Moe. Moe, exercising his exemplary managerial talent, added Curly to the job to assist Larry. Curly turned out to be unable to straighten the situation out and Moe had to dive in to the project. After that all bets were off and the madcap madmen worked their magic on yet another task.

Lol! Interesting scenario. Your story is probably closer to what happened than we know though! Well, as long as I get them eventually....... Oh the drama. Between these ATB's and the 2010 Silver Eagle Proofs, I've had about enough.......LOL

Despite Fedex telling me that my package left Buffalo and has passed through Syracuse, I just got this from Jack Hunt:

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM JACK HUNT COIN BROKER REGARDING FedEx SHIPPING CONFIRMATION NUMBERS

    PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL

You are receiving this notice because you recently ordered a set of America the Beautiful 5 oz Silver Coins (ATBs) from Jack Hunt Coin Broker Inc (JHCB).

FedEx sent an email yesterday to each of our ATB customers with a shipping tracking number that stated that orders will ship Monday, April 4th.

    THIS IS INCORRECT!!!

While some orders will ship this week most will not and will go out within the next four weeks. Retain the tracking number you received from FedEx, this will be your tracking number. You will be able to periodically check to see when your order does ship. You will not receive an email from either FedEx or JHCB when your package is in transit.

    Note The Following:

    1. The email from FedEx is in no way a verification that your payment was received. IF PAYMENT WAS NOT RECEIVED YOUR ORDER WILL NOT SHIP.

    2. The FedEx labels we have will be used once we verify order payment is received and order is prepared for shipment.

    3. If you canceled your order after receiving email from FedEx the order will not ship.

    4. Retain the confirmation number you received from FedEx. You will be able to use it to track your package when your order does ship.

    5. As stated in our ATB sales terms and conditions, orders can take up to six weeks from date of purchase for delivery

    6. JHCB will not respond to email inquires regarding order shipping status.

    7. JHCB is unable to verify receipt of payments. If there is a problem with your payment you will hear from us by early next week.

We apologize for the confusion and appreciate your understanding.

    Thank you,

    JACK HUNT COIN BROKER INC.

Well if I were you I would keep checking that number this week. If it shows your package is en-route then it probably is on the way.

Note on the email where it says : "While some orders will ship this week most will not and will go out within the next four weeks."

When I look up my tracking number all I get is "information recieved". no actual tracking info.

Did you tell the service representative it was a 5 ounce Silver coin? That's the price for a standard coin, America the Beautiful Quarter. This is considered a Special Issue. 9th down from the top, listed under services.

Yes, I clearly stated that I was asking about America the Beautiful 5oz coins. He knew exactly what I was talking about as though he'd answered the question a bunch of times before. That fits in with forum posts on other sites indicating that people paid $30 + $18 for grading.

$30+$18 sounds familiar as when I first looked at it I remember it was going to cost about $250 + shipping there and back so figure $300-$320 give or take.
