Hi! I'm know this is a very basic question but I really know nothing about silver bars. I have 12 silver bars. All but one are from the Hamilton Mint. On the front are images of a cowboy, horseless carriage, etc. They all say 1 Troy ounce of silver., .999. If I wanted to sell these, are they just worth the price of the silver or do the images, or where they were minted have some worth? Thanks for any advice.:)

    Depends...

If you sell them to most people on here or to a Bullion dealer you'll prolly only get what their worth because of their Silver weight...

However, if you sell them on E-bay, maybe a coin show or someother place and you find ""Silver Art Bar" collector you "Could" get more for them...

I agree 100% with what smullen said. Most Hamilton Mint silver art bars are not rare at all. Most of the Hamilton Mint silver art bars that I have seen have a mintage of 10,000 per bar.

I also want to add that a lot of the Hamilton Mint silver art bars that I have seen sell on ebay will get a winning bids that range between $3 to $8 over spot silver. You also have to keep in mind that ebay and paypal fees will play a factor in how much you end up getting for those bars.

That answers my questions so I thank you for you advice! Will probably sell on ebay eventually. I have yet to go to my first coin show which I really want to do soon! Thanks!
