im not worried,i sent mine out today from califonia regular mail. im guessing it'll get there by friday or saturday, within the 7 day alottment. theres a thread over on kitco, someone called in and was told that if you placed the order and have an order number then your GTG as long as funds are rec'd within the 7, they have the sets reserved for us. im also guessing that they will give people a little longer than the specified 7 days, its going to take them at least a week to carify all their orders and to even see if there are any non payers.

i also just got this message back from mtb, i asked if theyed be listing any more on ebay:

We currently our going through all of our outstanding orders. Once we determine if or how many sets we have left we may put them on ebay. We currently do not have any lists. However, if we put up more sets we will try to send you an e-mail to alert you.

On the official Air-tite website, you can get "Uncommon" 3 inch diameter holders for 5 oz coins at 1.99 each. $6.00 to ship 5 of them.

I talked to a APMEX customer service rep and tried to get out of them if they were going to have any for sale soon. Wouldn't answer the question, just said that if they had any for sale, they would be available on the website....... I didn't figure they would say anyway...lol

Since we are all giddy about the forthcoming ATB hockey pucks I was wondering how many of you are going to try and get the entire set. 50 of these guys is no joke.
If so how do you plan on storing them? I thought maybe a shoe box with dividers would work. I'm sure some vendor will come up with a decent storage method.
Maybe a box used to store CD's or the old 3 1/4 inch floppies might work nicely. I guess that would make them toned. Even better!!
The CD album would work because I'm not really interested in looking at the front of the coins.

Haha! Might be a little too much weight for that cd holder! I will probably keep them in a wheelbarrel in the shed.........

There is actually 56 different designs being made, and if they make collectors versions of each coin, there will be 112! That's 560 ounces!

I plan to get the entire set of 56 in both bullion and numismatic versions, so 112 of them in total.

As for storage, at least for the bullion coins I plan to put them in Z5 AirTites and then store those in one of these:

    Keepsafe Intercept Shield Box

If my estimates are correct, I should be able to stack 36 Z5s in one of those boxes (6 x layers of 6), so two required for the whole set.

Not sure about the numismatic version as nobody knows what size/shape the Mint packaging will be. They'll probably end up in the same kind of box though as that's how I store all of my ASE proofs.

Do you need the tarnish shield box if you keep them in AirTites?

Yep, they are nice as well. I got the 2010 silver proof set. The mint pushed the 2011 silver proof set to the first of next month. Wait.......thats only a couple days! lol

Maybe, maybe not. I've read different opinions on it. Even if it's overkill, I'd rather err on the side of caution by spending a few bucks on the boxes given the investment that will be involved in collecting all 112 coins. Let's say it's possible to get them all at an average $40/oz, that's $22,400 for the lot  Plus the boxes are convenient to stack.

Anecdotally I've had all of my ASEs and other coins in either the Intercept jewelry boxes or Intercept track boxes for several years, and there's not a hint of toning on any of them.

I called MTB on 2/10 or 2/11 and asked about the ATB program. They asked things like "where do you live?" and "Have you bought a set of these already?". They emailed me the details about buying the 5 oz ATB coins. I mailed a check and the coins shipped. They are waiting for me at home (I'm away on business). I bought them for (what I assume is ) the mint price of $860 plus shipping and a small commission.

Did anyone get a confirmation e-mail when their money order arrived? I bet it will take Jack Hunt Inc. a while to sort it all out as they usually dont deal with the general public at this scale.
