Could you render clarification regarding the number 18 please? The ever-lovin' wallet ain't so weak I couldn't help an $18 buyer realise a (not-insubstantial) profit. I suspect we are not both discussing 1/2 ounce pure gold coins.

Borrow or buy a Garret 250 (metal detector) and hunt that place out! There could be some interesting stuff under that 1 acre of land.
