I visited eleven banks today and got zero silver halves. This is the absolute worst score I have ever had. Normally I go to about three banks at a time and get atleast a few coins. The word must be out. Either there are alot of people trying the same thing I am or people are getting smart about not cashing in silver.
Well considering people have been hording silver coins since before they quit making them in the 60's, I consider myself lucky when I do come across some. That added to the fact that silver is at a very high price has people looking even harder. At some point they are gonna all be in the hands of people who know their value, with the exception of someone spending or turning in a few that don't know what they have.
I used to find about 1 silver half dollar per 3 rolls searched. Then it went to about zero pretty quickly around 5 years ago and I quit searching.
