The time has come for me to part with my silver collection. I will indeed jump back into it but things have changed in my life a little and although I don't need the cash it would be nice to have addition reserve.

If I do decide to sell is there a way to sell via coin talk? I am not a Ebay believer and feel I can sell it quicker and easier through folks that are in the business.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

There is a Classifieds tab near the top of the page. You could try that. I have used it to buy in the past with good results.

Thanks and just posted it out there. I am sure I will cause issues because I have an ATB set I would like to dump but please folks don't shoot the man here. If I sell it great if not I will hold it

  5. You may want to contact a local dealer or even a national dealer like Moderncoinmart.com. Many are buying the 5 ounce ATB sets. You may be able to work out a deal to sell them your entire silver lot (along with the 5 ounce ATB set). I would definitely use the 5 ounce ATB set to your advantage to work out a package deal. Good luck. TC

Alot of where you can sell depends on how much you have. You may be able to get a better deal with a major bullion dealer.

I would look around your area for any local coin shops, check out what the current spot price is and then ask what they pay per OZ... Most dealers make a buck or two either way, buying or selling... This is how they make money...

If you can't find any decent places around you, I recomend you call these guys.... https://www.scoins.com/buylist.aspx

Its alocal place around here that my uncle turned me onto.... He has been buying from them for longer than I've been alive and I have been buying and selling to them for almost 10 years....

I've also sent several friends and realitives to them to sell their scrap gold... Each one came back and thanked me as they paid better than any other places they called...

Also check to see if there are any local coin shows nearby. There are almost always dealers at these events who will buy coins. It will save you the hassle of having to package and ship the coins.

Just make sure you do some footwork and call a few folks... You could be leaving a lot of money on the table if not....

My wife knowing I am into Gold and Silver told her Mother that she should ask me for advise on selling her Scrap Gold and a few Gold Coins she had...

She had already talked to one place and they shot her and estimate without even weighting her stuff... I told her to call back and find out exactly what they are paying by the Penny Weight for the scraps and By the OZ on the bigger stuff...

She decided not to sell the Eagles but on the Scraps, the place she ended up going to payed 3 times what the other two places she called said and just a tad higher than a third...

So, do some footwork. It pays.
