Thank to God, little did I know that copper was getting ready to nosedive ( 4.64 -> 4.50) the day after I sold all of mine ( post 1130 above), but it does illustrate that there will be dips, and so little warning is present. Taking profit is never a bad thing. I don't think the copper market is done, but I will wait and see if it crosses 4.28 and bounces back before I get in again. Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug ! Jim
It was with JJC. It has a wide spread and was rather thinly traded. Best to buy when down and sell when up to get the spread advantage. I certainly won't claim it was expected it would go down the next day, and it is probably just a lull, but with China's mind set, I was concerned. Jim
Good move ! As my father used to say "Take a reasonable profit, pay the taxes and move on to the next one. Get greedy, try to squeeze it and end up losing your tail". He always did OK, so I try to follow that also. gary although my dad didn't actually use the word "tail". lol
I can honestly say that I have learned the very expensive way over many years ( and it seems the only way that works in the long run), and still sometimes prone to reversion back to wildcatting. I only have a partial "tail" remaining Jim
I am thankful to be an age at which it doesn't matter that much. I never risk the rent and only play a little with the profits, taking limited risk and very limited losses. Passes the time.

I wish it would plunge, back to say 8-10 an O..... I've been itching to load up again.... I like stackable 10 Ozers...
why didn't you buy when it was cheaper? seriously...why wait and wait for prices to go down when they only seem to go up... buy when you can to at least have a position in a make a few bucks instead of sitting on a wad of cash still waiting...
Easy there trigger.... I did... I bought at almost every price from 10 or a tad over all the way up till now... I've been buying for years... I've just slowed down on the amount I buy. The higher it gets the less I buy and I stock up on Dips... Might not be the best way to do it, but its worked out for me... I've accumulated several ounces over the years and I don't feel like I broke myself trying to do it...
Guys, I grabbed $50 worth of '64 Washington Quarters I had in storage and took a look at them to see if there was anything worth keeping. Dang ! Found a type "B" !!!
I have yet to purchase ANY PM's thus far this year. My activity has been ZERO!!! It's nice to see PM's haven't completely dropped and seem to now be on a rise.... We have a long year left to go though!!
my last transaction was to trade 4 AGEs (I got $1407 each, gold spot was $1371) Total = $5628 ... to acquire 183 2010 ASE’s (my buy price was 30.77 each, silver spot was $28.00)
I had a few rolls of the 64 d s and I pulled a few MS coins. Some with really strong reverses. I sent a couple of pics to a guy who can see better than me and the results were inconclusive on two of them. I put them in 2x2's and set them back in a box for now. I will probably send them in to CONECA or Wexler later in the year ? Got my hands full just trying to get these sorted out and my buckets of cents searched and rerolled for dump. But, yes, I most definitely was looking. lol Man, I would love to find one. As well as an 83 copper cent. or a CAM.
i was trying to get my silver holdings up over 2/3 of my total bullion holdings ... i have a gut feeling that silver might hit $50 an ounce this year and wanted to try to ride the wave
