Hi, I recently was given this coin 1816 5 Zlotych from Poland.

Observe: ALEXANDER I CESARZ SA.W.ROS.KRÓL POLSKI

    Reverse: 1816 I B 5 ZŁOTYCH POLSKICH 17 211/625 Z GRZ.CZ.KOL

I am not an expert on World Coins and would appreciate if someone could provide some information on this coin. Is it rare / valuable and how much it is worth in US dollars. I researched the coin but found little information and it is not on Ebay. Attached are pictures of the coin.

    Thank you, Steve

After a few divisions, most part of territory of Poland entered into Russian Empire. Poland got the status of kingdom (in composition Empire); accordingly, Russian emperor Alexander I, represented on your coin, at the same time was Polish king. The letters of "СА" designate a word "owner", id est, unlimited monarch.
For an appeal on territory of Poland from 1816 an own coin was minted. Presented 5 zloty were produced in an amount 971000 pcs. They were made from silver .868, weight - 15,59 gramme.
The cost of such coin in Russia exceeds 100 dollars.
