I wonder if you could buff off the replica part?

Its not the fact that its a fake bar that is the the problem, its that fact that it is using a copyrighted brand name that's the problem..

Actually, brand names are "trademarked," copyrights are different.

Be that as it may, it is up to the offended party, if there is on, to press the issue. For all we know, they licensed these products to be given as party favors.

I,am worried for the average Joe that doesnt know what to look for, If this is bought off e-bay
Then put back on with only a veiw of the top and the replica information isnt shared by the
Seller guess what someone is out allot of money :(

This happens more then you think, there are so many e-bay scams out there it,s really
    Rediculous so watch out!!

I wish Ebay would just come out with a policy that simply prohibits all copies or replicas of coins and bullion. It adds a level of sleeze to their operation which drives legitimate customers away. While this may be of dubious legality, I don't see any reason for a replica 1 ounce bullion bar, in an assay card no less, except as a device to trick and fool people. Whether it's for gain or not isn't really an issue.

How about a fake 25th Anniversary ASE Set Slabbed MS/PF70, with the word replica printed on the back of the slab? I see no difference.

If a person is silly enough to be scammed by a "gold" bar that clearly says "replica", or clearly says "copy" then I find it a wonder they have the $10 to buy the bar in the first place.

You could but copper and zinc have a much different color then gold. So what ever the base metal which the bar is made from will make it very apparent its not solid gold and is gold plated.

Remember the gold plating on anything is always microscopically thin. One oz of gold can be made so thin that it would cover over 100 square feet.

Clearly shows "REPLICA" on the back. I am "hoping" people do know what that means.....lol
I don't see any scam been done there.

Not to sound like a a-hole, but if someone is willing to spend 1600+ for a oz of gold, and does not clearly look at the product, i can't really comprise sympathy for them...

Now if it doesn't indicate it's a copy/replica, then that's just bad ethics and extremely illegal on the sellers part.
