Is it safe to say that every single dollar you own carries debt. Literally. While every single gold/silver coin you own doesn't... Yes, no?
die hard is a great movie! and you shoulda asked me that question and offered me a prize for getting it right! seriously though Elaine might be a great person but this gold fighting it's way up or flight she does is kinda silly...thanks krispy for filling in and last I knew you said you weren't going to be doing that anymore... and fools gold I think it's more along the lines of dollars just losing buying power and thus value everyday and gold/silver coins just holding their value but not 100% of it from inflation...just my opinion maybe once the economy isn't so completely fragile we can get some light deflation for a while to recover the stature of the Dollar...would be nice if a cent was worth more then slingshot ammo...
I haven't provided a forward looking guess in this thread and will not be doing those daily and intra-day posts from the other threads she started on the rising PM topic/speculation. The recent post was to underscore her absence during the latest lull, correction, dip, whatever you call it, since she initiated this new thread after abandoning the other threads before PMs even reached their target prices, which were both a year or more off her original predictions. I may continue to pop in and out from time to time.
I'm sure there's plenty being reported, written, speculated, interpreted, etc. Have a read through some of the big media sites with journalists following the proceedings in country, conducting interviews and look through their business and financial news sections and let us know what you think we might expect... also watch what happens Sunday night when Asia-Pac markets open for Monday morning in that part of the world.
Even when we talk smack about her she doesn't show up. She literally is all pro Gold Bug....anything else or bust!
bust could explain it. kinda like what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket or pay high premiums for collector version coins then expect PMs to shoot up to profit from the bullion content of them... just sayin'
I won't get into collector coins. Just not my thing, and I don't have the energy to keep track of what they *should* be worth. Which is why I just stick to straight gold/silver bullion. What ever the spot price is, that's all I have to, and want to know.... However, APMEX has some reall pretty Xmas silver coins.....I'm thinking of getting some an completely waiving any possible value they can be and just look at them as pretty silver bullion coins. And not to expect anything more from them..... If I go with that mindset, I'd probably pick some up.....
No worries, my point was that Elaine buys collector versions of coins, more than bullion, but applies the same bullion principles to the collector versions that one investing in bullion would. It will take her forever to make a profit in this manner. Whether she's a collector or an investor, both or some sort of hybrid has never been accurately described in her scattered posts.
I believe that is the issue with goldline from what I hear. They are trying to sell people on collector coins which like you've mentioned, would take forever to gain a profit or be a wash for you to sell back. I know I will never ever buy from them. Even if you just wanted regular bullion I hear they are overpriced. We still have not heard from her, don't know if she's ok from the floods...??
Well, Charice has been in concert so maybe Elaine has been rockin' out and partying the last few days...
Lol! I read the post before I looked at the name of the postee....I thought for sure that You were someone else who was making their grand return. : )
don't worry, once gold hits a new record high she'll be back to trumpet it on to hit a even higher new record high...until then she'll be in hibernation...dreaming of the never ending move up that gold always and will always do...at least in her dreams... I wonder how she would react if some huge gold discovery happened that took the price floor out from under gold and dropped it to say $400 for the next 30 years...wow that could be a LONG nap...
Some people go dramatic when the floor drops out of a market they are heavily into... Let's hope its not the big sleep.
