2010 Proof Gold Eagle's same mintage as 2008 w Proof Gold Buffalo's

With the AGE numbers that almost match the 2008w Proof Buffalo's do you think these will command the same prices in time. Do you think these would be a good investment? Thanks RB

Yes but there may be a larger mintage. No one will know til mintage til striking # are out.

 

I got two four coin sets of 2010 Gold Eagles today, ordered Friday. DMPL Ultra cameo, all eight coins. 70's, all of them. Awesome quality this year's issues.

 

Is there a reason beyond changing production numbers that some of the Proofs command huge premiums and others are much smaller relative to that year's regular issue Eagle and/or the price of gold ?

It's not like some years Proofs had 50,000 made and another year only 1,000 made. But I see pretty wide disparities in price.

That many people simply want a Proof of every year ?
