Oh don't you know, when the metals pullback, so does your wife from posting! LOL..... The pullback looks like it started last night.....perhaps the asians were selling....?
Nearly all the threads of the last two weeks have virtually disappeared! The bugs are tucked back in their holes while PMs take a little snooze...
That is unfortunate. I am more than willing to converse about metals, whether up or down. Don't like it if people disappear when they drop....
a pullback was totally expected by me ... nothing goes straight up ... price charts ALWAYS consolodate after a big run ... however I do think silver will go over $30 in 2012
i bought over 1000 ounces around $17-18 an ounce ... so i am sitting pretty it's funny to me but when silver pulled back from $18 to $8 in 2008 ... I am sure a lot of people were saying "See silver was in a bubble at $18!"
i didnt buy silver and gold as a trading position ... but instead to protect me against long term devaluation of the dollar i really could care less what silver does next week, next month, next year ... what i am concerned about is 10 to 15 years from now
Even if it's just a pause, and you feel there's room for upward movement, there's no time to waste waiting for a lower price that may not come.
:hail: Yep, ghost town.. everyone's waiting for someone to start posting something profound, maybe? Bull market climbs a wall of worry .. Lucy
I honestly think this is healthy and think it's great. I want it to go a little lower to the numbers at which I purchased a couple weeks ago....So I can buy more....think about it, if I have the goal in mind to purchase more, I don't really want to see the numbers climbing too rapidly....
yea I was waiting for this "correction" to happen and I got what I was waiting for as well 26 - 2011 Canadian 1 oz Silver Wolf Coins "Wild Life Series"coins I'm glad I waited from monday morning to now cause it got me an extra wolf and shipping for free basically as I decided I was going to spend around $700 and did so about 30mins ago
Patience is virtue...... I try to practice what I preach.......so far it has worked but it's very hard!!!
Yea I see the battle you have to deal with in alot of your posts but your holding up pretty well. Just stick to the plan you have set up and ignore your emotions...it's so easy for them to cloud your judgement and cause a huge blunder...go fishing or do what I'm doing making a BU wheatie set...I got 9 OBW rolls for $72 and am having a blast with them currently...gotta love the bay for buying...
But waiting for a lower price point is also in itself a risk, at how few cents or fractions of a percent do you wait for the risk of loosing opportunities to buy while something has already taken a break or slight pullback. Wait too long and it may go the other way leaving you empty handed. There's risk of some kind involved every which way you play it.
What the heck is BU wheatie set? LOL That is true. If you look back on your thread I think, it was a couple weeks ago, someone mentioned about waiting for gold to go below $1300'ish.... I think I brought the same point in that, what if $1300 in itself was the floor....and there is no pullback. So far, I was correct in stating that....at $1317, I pulled the trigger and stopped waiting. So I risked a $17 difference...... If I had waited the next day, gold skyrocketed to $1350-60'ish..... It is too easy to get caught up in waiting for that magic number...what is $10 difference going to really cost you? Or $20..... Wait too long and you will get caught out of position.....
Brilliant Uncirculated also known as MS or Mint State wheatie is the wheat cent from 1909-1958... starting out some can be had for a steal especially now with the economy...can't wait til my camera gets back from the shop so I can click a tons od pics of some toned nickels and my BU cents I've acquired...
I believe that the "pause" is because many are waiting to hear IF and how many bonds the Fed may agree to purchase at their November meeting. The UK has announced $160 billion target, but the ECB has not made any specific commitments, they have just said that they also plan to purchase their own bonds. China's increase of interest rates is not helping to settle the markets. When governments are about to make big moves, and devalue their currency, it is best to pause and wait till they announce their specific plans. These devaluations by several different gov'ts can really have significant impact on the PM markets...IMHO
