Really? Can they do that? Do you mean all the Central Banks? How will that affect Comex, London? I think they are independent of Central Banks. When I think of Central Banks, I think of as having physical hands on precious Metals. When I think of Comex, I think of mostly paper PM trading and some actual metal. Am I way off? (PM me with an answer so I don't take the subject to far off course.).Thanks.
I'm not an expert on CB's. It was an article that came out a couple days ago. The Euro CB I believe put a halt. Check out this article. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/BUSINESS/09/27/eu.central.banks.gold.ft/index.html

Thanks Elaine. I did not realize the percentage move in Silver had advanced so much in the last 30 days. Your math for percentages is especially helpful in reviewing the prices. Thanks for the extra work.
if silver is going to break the all time record high at $52.50/oz. then the gold will have to go up to at least $2,200.00/oz. that is based on the silver-gold speed at a rate of 2 to 1. let's presume: gold at $1,350.00. silver at $23.00 gold at $1,375.00. silver at $24.00 my prediction for this year 2010. gold at $1,450.00. silver at $26.50 gold at $1,575.00. silver at $30.50 gold at $1,650.00. silver at $33.00 my prediction for next year 2011. gold at $2,000.00. silver at $45.00 gold at $2,200.00. silver at $52.50
let's check other prediction: http://www.stockhouse.com/Columnists/2010/March/12/How-China-will-drive-silver-to-$250
There was a cornering of the market in 1980 in silver so I do not see why you would presume that the relationship between the two metals then and now have any bearing. They are separate markets, were then, and are now. Do you believe that the Hunt's or someone else will be cornering silver again? Just FWIW, and not trying to disagree, but I saw the same predicted charts over years in 1980. They had silver going to $150 and gold to $1500 by 1985.
