Sorry, haven't checked this in a while. Next coin show WAS after PFDs came out. Now the next one should be during Fur Rendezvous.F
To: tdec1000 "coin rich, money poor" Sorry to bother you, but I believe your post was quite a while back about a 1776 Continental "curency" that the background should be brown and not silver. I'm taking my "brown" coin to a dealer this afternoon. Could you share with me where to find that information? The dealer is telling me there a lot of fakes (hence how I found this website and your post). But the words "copy" and/or "replica" do not appear anywhere on the coin. The dealer also said that in 1776 the coins were dye cast, the replicas cast in sand giving it a grainy appearance. I really don't wan't to be "taken" if you know what I mean. Thank you in advance. Karen
Your inbox is full, here's my response: Can I get one roll for $3.50 shipped? (shipping is $1.91) Let me know, thanks, Greg
Rickie, I know that you are the resident paper guru. I need to ask you a favor. I have a client that is looking for a $1000 note in a somewhat better grade. I would say Fine to VF or better. Do you have anything that would meet these standards? He doesn't want to pay more than $1500. Thanks Tom Hi Tom.... I am sorry to say that I do not have what he is looking for. Perhaps you can go to Heritage, David Lawrence, or Don C Kelly sites to see if they have anything. Sorry I could not help you... Regards, RickieB
