I don't think I'm taking about the slash marks. Mine and the few other I've seen has abrasion going down her dress.

I don't know of any major doubled dates like that. I'm in the clean it up crowd. Then take some more photos and see.
I actually saw one for a 1935 merc dime today. It was partially torched but you could still make out her neck, date and feathers. That one I'd want.

1889 Sydney Mint Half Sovereign. The key date for the series. Yeah it's a details grade but you just don't ever see these.
