Hey that's really great! Usually numismatics isn't the hobby for a kid. At my school, I brought a merc as a pocket piece (a nice VG) and there was a guy next to my seat on the bus, and he said, "a Liberty dime? looks like.....errm......VF-43?" (It's true.)

there are collectors, but theyre either not knowledgeable about. the hobby, or they don't buy coins for more than face, and their collections consist mostly of the 21 century.
