You have a 1982 large date copper cent. Because it is worn and corroded it weighs .30 a new copper cent weighs .31. Worth 1 cent or 2 cents for scrap.
I thought the $1 presidents were bad I particularly dislike the Statue of liberty and some how the $1 symbol does not look as good as "ONE DOLLAR"...
The front has a few marks but the obverse is special. Too bad you gave it away in the picture of the slab. I would give it a 65.

Once you left you could not exchange them. I just kept a set as a souvenir.

Years ago the St Francis Hotel in San Francisco cleaned all the money they gave out as change. There may have been other businesses that did the same.
As a follow up I My scale arrived today and the weight was 2.5 gm compared to some normal circulated dimes of 2.4 gm.
I have ordered a scale and will weigh it to see if all the metal is there. I hope that will tell me some more.
