I'm well aware of silver quarter years, proof mints etc... don't exactly have a scale to weigh at the moment.
I have posted pics wit a newer quarter
Took the grinder to 1 of 2
Is that same for non 1943 silver colored pennies also? They look like they were only coated in copper at some point in time if that, the shield...
Also thought the original one I'd found WAS useless as some type of fake.
I have 2 the other is a 2001(at home cut almost in half)this one I found a few days ago been carrying around trying to figure out.
Would that explain the lack of color inside when I put my grinder to it? I'm figuring it's missing the copper somehow I don't know it matches up...
Looks same as new quarters in rim depth even measures about same... I screw with it a while before I questioned here.
Not to say it is a error or not a slot coin etc just seemed too odd not to question.
So different from any slot coin I've seen growing up around a casino and owning a vending service that only uses quarters is what made me question...
I have a vending company that only uses quarters. It sounds different for sure, pretty close to the silver quarters in color but is a ltitle off....
I grew up around foxwoods casino, I've seen slot coins/dryer coins a bunch. It don't seem to look like one to me. It's odd, still could be but...
Measures same as most other quarters rim height still same rim with measures dam near same?
As I'd stated, 2 coins different years different states bout cut one in half lmao no color difference... as I'd thought someone tampered with them.
