Silver from last month. I found one per thousand. 1936S is a low mintage for Washington quarters.
Looks like a British 1/2 penny, from the George II era, minted between 1729 and 1754
Haven't heard of any removals, but lately found a couple silver dimes at Walmart coinstars from their "reject" bins. It's usually clad or empty.

The photos look better on my phone, but there's an "18" on the obverse upside down. One the reverse next to the lion's tail is an upside down '1'.

Looks much better after using the acetone, even though it looks like someone tried to clean the bottom of it.
Okay thanks! It appears to be some tape where the adhesive ate away part of the surface giving that cleaned appearance.
