I miss you all too. I know I need to do better and I keep on saying that I will but things always come up. I will try to make contact in the next few weeks. I goes without saying that I often think of you and everyone else on CT. Talk to you soon.

FB: No worries. We'll just have to submit to giveaways that are not so "exclusive" and "socially" oriented, I guess. :D

Ken: Here I am again with yet another gold coin promotional giveaway: APMEX, CoinWeek, and now Modern Coin Mint.

It requires you to be a Facebook user. I don't know if you have a Facebook account but statistically, chances are you may well have one. I'm personally not a fan of the Facebook trend so I can't participate in this one.

      Good luck! :smile

I was just reading this web site for the first time this evening. When I decided to subscribe to their e-newsletter, I noticed that subscribing puts me in for a chance at a free 1/4 oz. gold eagle. Then every two weeks they hold a random drawing as well... who knows, it maybe worth taking a chance...

      CoinWeek: Rare Coin News

      http://www.coinweek.com/newsletter/

Also, remember to sign on to your APMEX account each month since they are doing random drawings and all it takes is logging on monthly to be included in the drawing. If you haven't yet for February then hop to it, then do it again come March next week! :smile

2011 Kennedy Halves on sale US Mint today... you buying this year? Prices up $2 over last year. The 2-roll sets of these halves are the last clad coins I collect. I'm angling for an Unc $5 MoH next week on 2/25 when they release. Danged PMs are up this week and will likely knock the gold $5 a few bucks higher too.

They may have shuttered our old gal, but they just can't hold a good girl down for long... Grandmother wins $100,000 ;)

Thank goodness you have a snow-blower! We easily got 15" inches overnight if not more in the 18" range here. The streets and sidewalks have been attended much better than the blizzard. You know we still have mounds left over from the 12/26 storm, but you also know where we put it all... every upward, like our sky rise buildings. Always maximizing our real estate. :smile

Hope you stocked up on peanut butter and canned soup... looks like we're gettin' buried in another blizzard tonight! Sheesh! Can't catch a break this Winter, can we!

      Hello Green18

I am pretty new to CoinTalk and have been busy reading many older threads on this site.
I have interest in bullion coins and banknotes alike. I recently have been informed by Krispy that several groups were established by some veteran collectors.
I have been very busy reading these and saw where you replied many times to the papermoney forum. Why am I sending this message? Well from what I have read so far, you must be a great guy and it would be a pleasure to get to know you. I hope you do not mind my message?

New Research Explains Alabama Centennial Half Dollar Mintage -- Special for PCGS CoinFacts [11/24/2010]

I just came across this detailed article and thought you might be interested to read up while in pursuit of the Alabama, which I don't recall if you have yet-- but it sure has a nice eagle on the reverse.

Glad you found it. Remember to register monthly, basically just requires you to log in once a month... Good luck!

Yes, they are HIGH! There are better deals out there, but this market is a boon for such dealers. Someday things should calm down-- I hope.

Ken, I hope you are enjoying your 2010 Eagles. I am very excited to see the 2010s in hand after the two-year drought we experienced in proof versions.

I wanted to extending my greetings and thanks to you for your continued friendship, and to wish you and your family an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.

      Best, Chris
