I started collecting in the late 70s/early 80s and then stopped until rediscovering my old collection this last year. Since, it has grown by more than 1000%, heh. The "enthusiast" in my name is an understatement.
Lived abroad for many years and strangely uninterested in anything but US coinage.
I enjoy coin roll hunting, but find the yield low for the effort. I mainly have been buying mint and proof sets to put together full sets of uncirculated coins, and of course trying to find collections that people have burnt out on or inherited.
I'm now in the late 40s to early 50s mint/proof sets, where things get expensive and toning and damage can hardly be distinguished.
