I enjoy the range of coins of the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine worlds, and of their contemporaries. Lately I've been particularly interested in: (1) developing provenance & publication history as a special focus in my family collection; and, (2) "Barbarians, Captives, and Enemies" on Roman coins, or what I call our "BCE Collection," including FEL TEMP REPARATIO and Fallen Horseman types (my website is new, but I've been building a page for our "BCE" coins here).

My parents got me into collecting ancient coins in the 1980s, mainly buying from local shops while traveling. I've been building up our collection, and trying to develop my understanding of ancient coins and societies, since.

What keeps me interested in classical numismatics is that it is not only a hobby (or a business), but a collaborative scholarly and historical enterprise, built upon generations and centuries of research, documentation, and discussion.
