      Chip:

I'm certain I speak for the others who received "honorable mention" in the thread OP by PETER, warning viewers not to pay by means other than credit card. We thank you for being a great buyer who created a great atmosphere for a great transaction, and are happy that you were pleased with the outcome. I don't know the particulars of the unsatisfactory transaction, but believe that only the buyer complained with a threat. I've learned that buyers like yourself are at least 50% of a successful transaction. Thanks for the consideration. RICH

Hey, yeah I do like your little 1829 1 Real, I can still see part of 'Libertad' but the shots are kinda small. I can understand your reason for liking for such Spanish and Mexican coins. Just like you said in your profile post... it's so interesting that they were accepted as legal tender in the US untill an act of Congress discontinued their use in 1857, if I am not mistaken. I would think that even in the 1850s, especially in the various US territories, you would still see alot of late 18th century spanish silver coins of Carolos III and IIII, heck, it probably wouldn't be uncommon to find earlier ones of Philip V or even earlier.... very interesting subject.

      Hey Chip:
Just thought I'd drop a line to say 'Hello'. How's your search coming? I'm still working on the set of BU or better Washington quarters, Franklin half dollars and modern commens. Almost there with the modern commens except for a few Atlanta BU coins. Also, I'm still working on the unc. mint sets. I just picked up a 1957 and now I lack only about 6 of them. By the way, I know we're not supposed to 'clean' coins but one of the quarters in the 57 has some ugly tarnish on the rim. I have read that the 'tarnish' (the black stuff) will only get worse unless it is arrested. All the coins are toned, but I have some fear about the quarter becoming damaged at some point because of the tarnish. (The 58, 56, 55, 53, 52, and the 57 all have 'toning'. Which I distinguish from tarnish.) Should I do anything about it? What do you think? Always glad to hear from you. Be well Chip. Eric

      Hey Chip:
Hope that you are doing okay. Thought I'd drop you a line to see how things are with you. I'm doing fine. I just picked up a 1995 D Atlanta High Jump so I am now only missing a few BU coins to complete my set of modern commens. (Law Enforcement; Wheelchair Athelete; Tennis; Rowing; 1994 World Cup;1996 National Community Service, I think that's about it. I still have to go after that 1995 W Silver Eagle to complete a set of eagles. That one may take a while though because of the price. I think I may start to go after some of the earlier commens. though like the California series and the BTW/GWC coins. Anyway, I just wanted to say 'Hey'. Be well Chip. Eric

      Chip,

That site is correct the one we have is the name on base and not the name under base which is the 58.

Hope this clears it up for you.

PS sorry it took me so long to respond.

      Hello Chip,
Thanks for the birthday wishes a while back. It has been a few weeks since I checked in and I just read your message. It was a great day, passing the time at Cedar Point riding all of the roller coasters.
