I have weighed it, it's 5.2 grams. Less than either the standard silver or the clad. More along the lines of a nickel planchet?
Hahah I don't know what those results indicate though?
[ATTACH] Coin on the left is 1964 silver quarter. Center is 1965 quarter in question. Right is 2015 clad quarter.
Thanks, I think that sounds like the best option. Don't want to pay a lot to get it checked just to find out it's plated.
Is that a bad thing?? As I said earlier...new to the coin game.
[ATTACH] That's about as close as I can get with my phone camera. To my eyes, it looks identical in color to the 1964 silver quarter I have.
Lol thanks, self-care is the best care ;)

No it's the one on the left in the edge photo.
I bet that's what they told the person who sold the one in 2014 too ;)
Hahaha unfortunately, I do not.
They sound very similar to me, but I also have hearing damage from military service so take that with a grain of salt.
Hahaha my bad...new to the coin game ;)
5.6 grams I believe
Has anyone ever heard of a 1965 quarter that appears to be silver (edge is all silver, not two-toned with copper) only weighing 5.2 grams instead...
