I would use heritage also. I do believe you have an N-6. The dot under the base of the T seals it for me. On the N-4 the T leans left...

G-4 bid for N-6 is $75 and AG-3 bid is $40; so, for an N-6 you should get $30-40 from collectors and likely $25-35 from a dealer.

Sorry I bothered you. I studied your posts from the 2008 thread and am pretty sure I have an N-6.

Thanks. I found a post from 2008 where Conder101 explains it all. I believe I have an N-6. I wonder what it is worth with those scratches.

This is the reverse of the 1834, N-5. As I mentioned above, the key 'tell' for the medium letters reverse(s) is the increased spacing...

Hi Conder101. I was reading your posts from 2008 about the 1834 large cent. Can you identify what variety of large cent I have here? I...

I'm seeing three varieties, with an S well back, one in front, and one in the middle. My coin is in the middle, which the Red Book seems...

The Large 8, Large Stars, Medium Letters variety of the 1834 cent is a quite common type; I think @Eduard is right about it not being an...

I think you are all right, but here is what the 2024 Red Book calls "Medium Letters," which apparently is not the N-5 coin and seems to...

1834 Cent with Scratches
Can someone help me value this coin? It's rather rare, an 1834 cent with "Large 8, Large Stars, and Medium Letters." However, it has...
