U.S. Type Coins or death!
Good grief. Mar 16, 2019
Just a mole that can't get off the gas.
I like U.S. type coins!
Now I consider myself pretty smart with retail, but don't have a CLUE how you guys do it - esp. with the climate I just mentioned. I'd LOVE to be a coin seller, but in my mind one would need to buy that $100 coin for $60 AT MOST to earn a decent enough profit. And, like I said, where can you do that?!?!?
In 2012 I made about 25% profit after fees shipping etc, but then Uncle Sam taxed the he'll out of me. It ain't easy, that's for sure.
With regards to your post on that rant thread, I've NEVER seen a product where people don't accept the concept of wholesale/retail. I there is a "$100" coin, people not only expect but DEMAND that or a figure close to it. I did fairly where in my first career to where I don't need a 60 hr./week gig anymore, so I thought about being a coin dealer.
I was planning on going to the Summer Fun show in Orlando July 11-13, 2013. I basically collect foreign (Latin American Republics & Ancients) tho like to look at US from time to time. Any interest in meeting there?
$3k "sadly"?! Jeez, man, I'd be happy to head to the FUN show with just a penny in my pocket! ;)
Good luck, and :welcome: to CoinTalk!
Hey all, I'm new here. I'm headed to the FUN show on Thursday with a limit of $3K (sadly). I'll probably blow it all at the first table...
