Always had an interest in coins, since I was a lad. Back in those days 2 shilling and 1 shilling coins were used nationwide as 10 pence and 5 pence respectively, due to their exact size. I found that fascinating and used to put the older shillings in a drawer, having no idea they were actually made of silver. Sadly, due to a house move most likely many years back, those coins disappeared and I have no idea now what exactly they were.

More recently in the past 5 years or so I've taken up coin collecting in a more serious manner and have many 1000's of old coins most of which I've cataloged. Still learning of course - Roman coins were a very steep learning curve for me and having now a couple of hundred, they remain my favourites. Thanks for reading!
