      Hello bhp3rd,

      I recently found a penny with a smooth/lumpy face with no distinguishing features other than the rim, the backside was perfectly normal. I figured someone just got board and sanded it down, but it seems slightly thicker than other pennies I have compared it to. From your posts you seem to be very knowledgeable on this subject. If it is not asking too much would you please tell me what might of caused this?
