Did you ever get your UHR? I got one and while the coin really looks great, I wish it could have been a little larger.
That, my friend, is a 20 Euro gold coin from Ireland. The literature states "the four intricate interlaced design celebrates Ireland's Influence on European Celtic Culture with four figures meeting in the centre of the coin in animated conversation representing the ability of the Irish to communicate.*** Each figure holds in its hand an item that references a different aspect of how Ireland has influenced and inspired European Celtic Culture;* literature, music, construction and new technology." The coin is really small, but a larger one with the same design can be had in Silver. Here is the link: http://www.centralbank.ie/frame_main.asp?pg=ncn_comm.asp&nv=ncn_nav.asp
Thanks Athose! I have always been a commemorative collector for nearly as long as I have been collecting. I just got into collecting IKEs this past year. I have always had a complete set of IKEs, but I am slowing trying to put together a nicer slabbed collection. Did this also with the SBAs, Sacs and Prez dollars. Good luck. See ya around.
Hey Athrose, thanks for your message. Prior to May of this year I did not have a camera. Then my wife wanted one for vacation and I did a little research. I ended up purchasing a Cannon SD870IS. It is a small, pocket camera, but has a lot of features. Come to find out, there are a few members on here that have the same camera. I also purchased a 12 inch tripod to mount the camera. As far as lighting goes, I am still working on that. There is a 4-5 foot florecent light above me in my kitchen and I am working with another member on here to get some ideas about some additional lighting options. The coins you see in my album were all taken with the Cannon camera and tripod with available lighting. Glad you like them. I think they turned out ok. I wonder how much better I can actually get. Let me know if there is anything else I can provide you. Joe
