    planchet defect

    thanks for the reply - the coin has an area missing along the top edge - it looks like due to the stamping process due to inferior material or not...

    I have a 1867 nickel 3 cent with a planchet defect - nice coin otherwise - I am new to this and wondering what planchet defects to to the value?
