http://saginaw.craigslist.org/clt/1872183951.html and if so how do you suggest I resell them? Individual or together?
Nope I think I am going to buy them though Ungraded set are selling for $3700 If I take a scale anybody know what they would weigh in the slabs?
I wouldn't worry about weight since they're in NGC slabs. Just be sure to check the holders for any evidence of tampering. Are you going to the seller's house, or meeting him/her somewhere "neutral"?
waiting for him to reply, I will be safe though. I know there are a lot of bad people out there. Prolly bring my friend. But I dont want the coins for myself so I hope there is profit to be made
The reason I ask is that if you are meeting somewhere other than his home, be sure to take note of his license tag just in case the coins were stolen. Chris
Dime: Why don't you weigh one of your own NGC slabs with a coin of known weight in it, then subtract that coin's weight, add the weight of each gold coin times four holders weight. 1 oz (31.103 Grams) plus the weight of a slab, 1/2 oz plus the weight of a slab, 1/4 oz. plus the weight of a slab, 1/10 oz, plus the weight of a slab = ____. I agree with Chris, do check the slabs carefully as there are fake NGC slabs said to be out there.
thats a good idea, didnt even think they might be stolen. Its a very Nice Neighborhood but anything is possible
Let someone know where you are going before you leave. He may be packing with $3000 in gold + your cash.
Actually it isn't that great of a deal. Wholesale on the set right now is about $3150. They sell on Ebay for a touch more but you have fees to deal with with would just about cut most of your profit. In addition you are taking a big risk with really not enough payout. I'd say you should not purchase it for a quick flip as the premiums can change pretty fast. But if you want it to have as a longer asset or as part of a collection then your getting a decent break on the set. Just be very careful.
your right its tough to tell I see them in last two weeks go from $3700 to $3200 still waiting for his reply
