I was expecting a drop in the price with some profit taking on Friday becaus the rise in silver during the course of the week. Was hoping it would drop back into the high 17's or low 18's. I had some cash saved for a nice purchase of some ASE's and was ready to buy if I could get them for $20 landed at my door. No such luck.....bummer...

Since I had the money, I decided that I would try to make a deal on a couple of 93 and 94 ASE proofs, and I did. I've tried to buy the 94's for under $100 with no luck for about a year, but accomplished this and paid what most are advertising the common dates for the 93's. As an added bonus I bought a 1889s BU Morgan for cheap enough, filled a hole, and am more or less happy about that.

I guess I need to wait for another dip to get some more ASEs....I just love those things.

When it comes to wishing for a drop in the price of silver, be careful for what you wish for. You just might get that (and maybe more). You never know with silver since it is so volatile.

  4. This is true. Silver will drop again (under $18/ounce) before the end of the summer. No data...just a hunch. ;) TC
