So, earlier this year when it was clear that the 2010 American Eagle products might also get cut for this year as well, I got mad and wrote my Congress people. Out of all of 'em, Harry Reid was the only response I got and it wasn't just a canned "thanks for writing" response but he promised he would look into it... Harry Reid, fat chance, right? Lo and behold, I got this in the mail from the Mint last Friday. This is just a reminder to get those letters out, crank up the pressure folks.
It looks to me like Harry Reid didn't have a "canned letter" for this. But he knew the mint did. So, he took the easy way out and forwarded your letter to the mint, so they could send you their "canned letter."
at least they took the time to send a letter out! i am surprised, i thought our letters get delivered right to the dump...
