Anybody familar with Provident Metals? Check out there prices

I was looking at different bullion dealers and came across ProvidentMetals which has a nice selection silver rounds and 90% U.S silver at $0.23 over melt value for junk and $0.79 over spot for walking liberty halves and $0.43 over spot for merc's and Franklin's. I just ordered a small order (6)1oz rounds to see how it goes.The rounds I ordered were $16.18 each and in the picture the quality looks great.They also have silver fractional coins at 1/2,1/4 and 1/10 oz. If anybody has any info on them it would be appreciated.I will report back my experience with them next week.Thanks Randy

I placed an order with them too...their premiums are good, especially for those of us who cannot place huge orders. Ill report as well

 

Please update us on your dealings with Provident Metals. They have good prices on 2010 ASE's and I see in coinworld online that they have a free shipping coupon. I am seriously considering ordering from them very soon.

 

Just ordered as well... they do charge a bit for shipping, and do tack on a fee for paypal/cc use.. but the prices are better than several others online.

 

I just sent them an e-mail because I am interested in getting a 20 roll of 2010 ASE's from them. They say that they come in the original US Mint tubes and I just wanted clarification to see if they have been "cherrypicked" through before I order. I guess it really doesn't matter because I'm not one to send off ASE's hoping for an MS70.

I had placed an order for 54 of their mixed 1 oz bars as well as 5- 5 pesos Cuauhtmemoc silver coins. Overall their 1 oz mixed bars are good especially if you are a 70s art bar collector. I received many bars that could be resold for a nice premium over spot. I think two of the best bars igot was 1 oz Credit Suisse bars, that certainly shocked me.

Their shipping times are outstanding as are their shipping prices. Highly recommended

They are selling at lower premiums than ampex & others.. huge savings when buying $1k orders.

I decided to post my first experience with Provident to help others make a decision about placing an order with this company. I'm always looking for other peoples experiences, so I'm trying to give back a little bit.

I just placed an order on June 3rd (10 am ET). I didnt create an account on their site, I just placed an order using Paypal.

The money was immediately withdrawn from my Paypal account, but I never got a confirmation email about the order. I was waiting for them to confirm the order and/or send me an email stating that my order was shipped. I didn't receive either of the two, but 2 days later, (June 5th) my order arrived at my house.

I have since created an account with them, so I can check the status of my order then next time I buy from them.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the delivery time of Provident. Ordered on a Thursday and got my package on Saturday. This was a small $220 test order. And I'd say that they passed with flying colors. I'd have no hesitation placing a larger order with this company.

Their shipping charges are lower then Apmex, GoldenEagleCoin & NWT. Even with the added paypal fee's, they were the cheapest prices on the internet when you include their low metal prices. And they were by far, the fastest shippers around. Apmex usually takes at least a week, the last time I ordered from NWT it was over 2 weeks.

So I'd say Provident is in line with (or above) the other main metal distributors online. Very happy with their service! If you decide to place an order without creating an account, dont worry if you dont get a confirmation email.....your package will probably be at your house before you know it.

I just wanted to return the favor since several of the posts here helped my pull the trigger on my order. Its just too bad that I ordered too soon. Looks like JP Morgan is driving down the price of silver again....wonder how low it will go.

Not to be the buzz kill here but I received my first order from them yesterday and I am extremely disappointed. I ordered (5) 10 oz. engelhard bars and they are in horrible shape and I mean horrible. In addition 3 of the 5 has a logo on them which I have never seen before and am questioning if they are real. If they do not take these back and replace them I will never order from them again

Businesses that take pride in themselves generally will do what they need to do to keep their customers happy.

 

Just ordered from them because of the PayPal option. Hopefully they'll be my go to bullion dealer.
