I don't think we will see much movement today. It's probably a short day for many today, if they're not off work already, ahead of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday 5/31. Closed for Memorial Day / Spring Bank Holiday: LME / COMEX / NYMEX

If there's anyone that doesn't want too much movement, it's the DOW!!!

Interesting, I could see that happening in a place of possible economic collapse. However, since their currency is for most of Europe, not just Greece, it would be a very different situation if it happened here. If it is true, maybe we should take that trip to Greece....;)

don't overlook the fact that there's the little issue with importing/exporting quantities of gold and/or cash to and from... you might end up on an episode of locked up abroad esp. if policies become harsher to control such movement of metals

Laws just keep honest people honest...the terrorists don't seem to have much trouble moving their money/PMs around.

because they have an endless supply of 'honest' people to exploit doing if for them, or blackmailing them to do it for them.

How exactly do PM's work on holidays such as today? Even though the markets are closed I still see prices changing?

UK is closed for Spring Bank Holiday and EU are open I believe. Asian markets were and will be open, opening next for Tuesday later today US time. Even though US markets are closed you can still place order entries, modifications and execute cancellations.

Interesting gold at $1216.17 right now. I wonder if it will sneak up today while everyone is out BBQ'ing....

Scratch that, now it's $1216.90, almost approaching $1217.00

    Silver not doing too bad...
