I'm pretty happy with the way the PM's have done today. From now till tomorrow morning we find out what the asian market will do.... Just when PM's start to go down, there seems to be another crisis...
I agree. PMs have held their ground in recent days since the last spike despite the last couple days equities sell off and leading up to this growing story out of Korea. The next few days will be interesting with regards to those markets and S Korea's current crisis with the North effect on global markets and PMs.

i am pretty happy. i don't really invest in or have much gold other then my 1899 gold eagle set. today i needed a few bucks and hate taking my money out of the bank(i am cheap). so i traded in this thin broken 30" 14k necklace, i dug up in my back yard. i honestly was expecting like ten bucks twenty at the very most. they gave me $60 for it:bigeyes:
Was it the dealer who told you the karats of that necklace? Did they show you the reading on the scale? Here's a scrap gold calculator you can use online.
it was stamped on the necklace. thanks for the calculator, i have been looking for something like that. i took it it a local coin shop. its a pretty small shop with a limited selection but i figured i would rather him make money then some random jeweler. this way i can get that ms65 walker and ms63 gold toned '38 buffalo nickel!(when i have them money). oooh yea, the reading on the scale was 20.something grams.

Let's end the week strong... I say if we end the week with the same prices we have opened up to, that's pretty damn good... I'm not convinced yet though that $1200 is the new floor...
