Has anyone dealt with these folks? Are they reasonable? It seems it a little pricey on their stuff

I believe that show comes on around 3:30am for me.

Last time I saw it, I kept surfing between it and a Ronco GLH (spray paint for balding hair) infomercial. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to spend my $19.95 on: a can of GLH, or a 2001 circulated Zincoln from Coin Vault.

Just kidding - I'm being sarcastic :). I wasn't impressed with the show at all.

I, on the other hand, am very, very impressed by their ability to make junk sound like junque, and their ability to make enough sales to stay on the air!

Treat it as entertainment, but don't buy from them.

You should always question anything with such an expensive sales pitch. Keep in mind they must make enough off of what they sell to pay for the TV time, which is not cheap.

Same goes for anything you buy, whether it be coins or spray on hair. If it was as great as they say it is, they wouldn't need to say it.

  8. Avoid at all costs...way overpriced. Check online and you will find much better prices for comparable items. TC

my friend gave me a set of gold and a set of platinum plated westward journey nickels from them. they were free and have a nice case, that is the only reason i kept them. also because they aint worthing nothing!

Those guys are rip off artists and i can't believe people buy from them.

they pitch a really good sales scheme but if you look at what they charge for the coins vs what they are worth you are getting ripped off big time.

their main mark is making the things sound like there aren't anymore out there. i think it is the same guy that runs that knife show as well.

most of those knives are garbage and when they pull out the nice ones they are way more expensive than what you could find elsewhere.

they got my friend on the knives lol.

they had a package of like 600 random knives and swords for like $300. he got like 4 packages and tried selling them at a flee market. know one would buy the junk. i think he sold 3 knives and 1 of the big swords, he got $15 for the sword they said is worth $150 lol. he ended up selling his 2000 knives on craigslist for $200.

if you do a simple google search on the coin vault and the knife show you will see that they have a bad wrap.

it is absolutely disgusting that they can do that.

it is like 2 gas stations down here by the airport that charge 5 dollars a gallon for gas and since in FL it is not required that you post your prices people are getting screwed.

the mayor is finally stepping in and doing something about it.

as the saying goes buyer beware.

:bigeyes:that is just wrong. but i think i would ask before i pumped, sometimes gas stations near air ports are expensive. Florida has a bunch of questionable laws or lack of laws and regulations. they finally are passing a law to monitor prescription drugs. out of the whole country the top 3 or 5 narcotic dispensing doctors are from Florida! they got a big problem down there and its going to be a lot of work to fix it. when all the shady pain clinics close, it aint going to be the end of there problems. people are going to be stealing and turning to heroin, so at first its going to be worse.

ahhh sorry for getting off topic, it just upsets me..

Google is a great way to see any postings about a business' track record.

    I do keyword searches for:
    "<business name>" "rip-off"
    or
    "<business name>" "scam"

    -----
As far as Florida goes, the state has the highest per-capita elderly population in the country. Pain management would naturally be in demand.
    -----

In my opinion, Florida's also a great place to get deals on stuff retirees want to get rid of... including coins. My only experience is to stay away from South Florida east coast (Jupiter/Palm Beaches southward) - prices seem higher.

I enjoy the show. It's just weird to hear people talking about coins.

Coin Vault: Overpriced coins but good entertainment. I like to watch it because the show makes me feel like I got great deals on every coin I ever bought.

And according to Robert Chambers, one of the hosts, most everything they sell is in "GEM B. U. !!!!!!!"

I watch Coin Vault for the laughs.

Once when watching, they quoted ridiculous prices from their Leading Numismatic Catalog for common date Morgans graded NGC MS63, so I called and asked the name of the catalog, and they hung up on me.

Their raw "BU" silver in bulk lots (Morgans, Peace, pre-1965 halves, quarters & dimes) for the most part has been overdipped and will not grade.
