right now no plan to buy any collection mint products. it is too expensive. average 25% over melt value. i will shift to buy bullion gold and silver this time. of course when the price is right.

    I totally agree with that!

I might like to pick up proof America the Beautiful Park quarters in sealed SILVER proof sets if they are issued by the Mint the way the States and Territorial quarters were.

AGE and ASE Proof doesn't seem likely to happen in 2010. AGB will likely be issued in place of these again like last year.

Going for mainly bullion when the prices are right.

i bought a lot of silver quarter proof set and clad quarter proof set. but without box and c.o.a. those were break up from the silver proof set and clad proof set. but it is very cheap. for clad set is cost around $6.00 per set and silver set depend on silver bullion value. sometimes i bought empty boxes and c.o.a. and put it together. the rare clad quarter set is 2008. i only got 30 set. i started accommodate those quarter sets starting from 2005. i got 200 set dated 2007 and 100 set dated 2009. i just love this small quarter set. for 2010. first year. i might buy 100 set. hopefully the price will be the same at $6.00 a set for clad. as for silver the one you mentioned. i might just pass it.

let's check the silver quarter set dated 2008 and compare it to the 2008w ASE ounce ounce proof.

5 pc of .180845 oz = 0.904225 oz of silver for silver quarter proof set priced at $29.95
1 pc of 1.0 ounce american eagle silver dollar priced at $31.95

by looking at it. silver quarter proof is very much cheaper than one ounce ASE. first, the whole set is cheaper than ASE. second. the quarter piece is a fractional. suppose to be more expensive when come to five pieces fractional.

If you crack those proof quarters and have high grades from TPGs you could potentially sell them for significant premiums above intrinsic value.

"...There are ONLY 8 of the 2009 Ultra High Reliefs graded NGC-MS 70 PROOF LIKE & EARLY RELEASE! That means ONLY 8 people in the world could ever own this coin. NGC will does not grade EARLY Release after the first 30 days of issuance of the coin..."

    Is this a true statement?

I don't know what you've been drinking but I'm sure you don't own any of these coins since you only buy coins in Mint packaging. Now while I do own a number of slabbed coins, the 2009 UHR is not one of them, hence I have none of the variety as linked to above, nor do I see the value of owning one at that price. For that sort of money I'd be employing a dealer to find me a classic gold Saint Gaudens double eagle of exceptional eye appeal and grade.

This thread is about the 2009 Proof AGB.

    * "available" for pre-order, delivery scheduled for May 7th and thereafter.

While that link doesn't reproduce the 'memo' sent to the authorized bullion dealers, it only say's the Mint will begin accepting orders on 4/29/2010 and does not provide a date for delivery nor mention anything about May.

Apmex began accepting pre-sale orders for the bullion AGB coins on 4/26 and estimates delivery from 5/7 onward for coins they couldn't even yet have ordered.

Interesting! 2009 figures are final and this thread is about 2009 AGB Proof coins.
Yet 2010 estimates, accounting for what?, are no appearing in this thread...

Did the mint issue fractional AGE?

For what year are you inquiring?

There were 2009 AGE bullion fractional: 1 oz, 1/2 oz., 1/4 oz. and 1/10 oz. but there were NO 2009 unc-W nor proof-W mintmark fractional coins issued.
