Yeah, I love seeing silver so low it's nice for a change but you still can't get a decent deal on American Silver Eagles, at least I can't how about you? I went to my LCS the other day and he said the cheapest one he had in stock was $55, I didn't ask if it was a Proof or not cause that's just too high for me! Yes, he had Morgan's and other silver coins and rounds but that wasn't my interest. Where's all the deals on American Silver Eagles, anyone know?
Cheapest I've seen on ebay is about $33. That's still a premium of well over 50% Edit: That is for a single coin. I don't know about deals on larger quantities. I have occasionally bought foreign silver bullion coins 5-10 at a time. I can't bring myself to pay the premiums on Silver Eagles, so I've given up on them completely.
True, my LCS had other coins with much better deals than ASE's I just found it a bit shocking as I seldom buy silver. I have only 13 ASE's so I was thinking of putting together a tube but I'm not gonna pay $31 online it's just too much money! I'll wait for a better deal, I'm not in any rush at all.
Silver is quoted via the paper price, aka Wall Street. It has little relation to the real world. Anyway, I hope it drops to $10 so I can buy again.
I know but I only have around 5, too far to go for a tube. I'll stick to gold but I'm not buying anymore gold for awhile either at least not until the next Fed meeting. The dollar is being pumped up like crazy, time for me to wait this madness out!
People are buying and if you go to any shows lately, you'll see. A couple of weeks ago I went to a show and saw a 2022 Austrian Vienna Philharmonic (silver) that I wanted and it was the last one the dealer had, so I pounced on it. I think I paid something like $30 or so. I can't see buying ASEs which sell for a lot more. An ounce of silver is an ounce is an ounce, as far as I'm concerned. Next I'm going to get the 2022 Serbian Tesla.
I purchased 3 Uncirculated ASE Saturday at an estate auction they were 35.00 a piece When the Auctioneer sold them, buy one take as many as you like he didn't call them by their given name, ASE or American Silver Eagles just said here is an ounce of silver we going to sell not even the date. I showed up early and went through the coins before auction and had some kind of ideas. It was so freaking hot not allot people there for the coins but two tables of guns nice weapons.
I’ve never heard the term “uncircumcised” for an ASE. Can you please explain what an uncircumcised ASE is. Thank you.
I would buy all the silver I could get my hands on at the current spot price. Alas, the premiums are far too dear.
